Newly Widowed?
A Few Years Into Widowhood?
Navigating the financial and practical tasks
that are needed after your spouse
passes away is overwhelming.
I learned the hard way that missing steps
(or taking them out of order) adds to your grief...
which is the last thing you need right now.
How to prevent or respond to the identity theft of your loved one
What documents and passwords you will need
What actions to take, in what order - to prevent being locked out of financials as a living spouse
The heart level issues of their belongings, and how to take over their roles
Empathetic wisdom and rallying others where you need help
I created this supportive checklist both from personal experience as well as research... because you don't need the added burden.
I am so sorry you are here in the trenches of widowhood.
You are not alone!
I lost my young husband by suicide in 2019, and the aftermath with four children was chaotic, dark, and painful.
He was the financial and tech arm of the marriage, and I was at a complete loss in many areas.
In the following years, I became so overwhelmed and low that I was suicidal myself.
Hope Speaker was born to be able to reach people struggling... because I've been there.
I am here for you!
